MEET THE TEAM
WSD was initially set up in 1985 by Mr N W Alimchandani, a retired Customs Officer, and a group of prominent Jain philanthropists. The main aim was to prevent the killing of street dogs by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. We have come a long way since then, with our activities manyfold over the years.

An MBA and a graduate in Hotel Management, Abodh was formerly with the customer services and sales department of DHL Worldwide Express. He was a WSD volunteer for several years before becoming CEO in 2000.
DAISY SIDHWA
Manager - Projects
Daisy has been with WSD since 1993. She heads WSD's street dog Adoption programme. Among other activities she also designs WSD's temporary sales and information outlets and creates the product line. Daisy manages a career in commercial floral designing and in store advertising.
LYLA BAVADAM

Lyla has been volunteering with WSD since 2005. Lyla handles WSD's garage sales and oversees WSD's infrastructural requirements.
